27.10.2015 UNESCO World Day of Audiovisual Heritage: "Geschichten aus dem Dorfleben von Diepoldsau"

On the 27 October 2015 the Phonogram Archives participates in the UNESCO World Day of Audiovisual Heritage with three short presentations centred on the tape collection recorded by the cultural anthropologist and poet Berta Thurnherr in the Eastern Swiss village of Diepoldsau. The dialectologist Anja Hasse and the sound archivist Dieter Studer-Joho give short talks on the cultural and dialectological background of the recordings, and Berta Thurnherr has kindly agreed to read some specimens of her poetry and prose that she composed inspired by the sound recordings. The event takes place at 18.15 in the main building of the University of Zürich, Rämistr. 71, room KOL-F-104 and it will be concluded by some drinks offered by the Archives. Everybody is welcome!
