08.04.2016New paper on hierarchical agreement and co-argument sensitivity by Bickel and colleagues

Together with Alena Witzlack-Makarevich, Taras Zakharko, Lennart Bierkandt, and Fernando Zúñiga, Balthasar Bickel published a new paper in Linguistics. The authors estbablish that hierarchical agreement phenomena can be successfully reduced to co-argument sensitivity and use computational phylogenetic methods to show that hierarchies play only a very limited role in the diachrony of agreement paradigms.
