Rik van Gijn has received an ERC consolidator grant with his project
"South American Population History Revisited" (SAPPHIRE). The project
aims to reconstruct population dynamics in western South America on the
basis of traces in the geographical, genetic, archaeological,
ethnological, and linguistic record.
