15.10.2021Keynote lecture by Nour Efrat-Kowalsky: "What modern distribution can tell us about the past: Evidence from the Ancient Near East"

Department member Nour Efrat-Kowalsky was invited as the keynote speaker to the Workshop Empirical Approaches to Linguistic Variation at the Slavic Department of the University of Zurich, 11-12 March 2021. Her lecture presented a new way of understanding the linguistic variation in the Ancient Near East by using Predictive Areality Theory (PAT) and advanced Bayesian Statistics (sBayes).
