Doing corpus-based typology with spoken language corpora

Special publication No. 25 of Language Documentation and Conservation.
Honolulu: University of Hawai’i Press

Haig, G., Schnell, S., Seifart, F. (2021)

The volume presents a range of case studies based on corpora developed from language documentations of lesser-studied languages. These studies underscore the specific relevance of spoken language corpora for linguistic typology, with topics ranging from language acquisition, prosodic chunking, information management, reported speech and thought, reference production and argument realisation, and social cognition. All studies also provide detailed descriptions of related corpus building projects.
