Language contact between population groups leaves behind evidence in the lexicons and grammars of the languages involved. This talk on 21.04.2023 at the Human Diversity interdisciplinary seminar will present to an interdisciplinary audience the basics of how linguistic contact functions and present a short preview of ongoing work at the University of Zurich.
