Presentations at ICHL 26, Heidelberg

Members of the department will be presenting their work at the 26th International Conference on Historical Linguistics (ICHL) in Heidelberg:

Van Dam, Kellen Parker: "A Bayesian phylogeny of Patkaian (Northern Naga)": This talk presents the results of three years of research on linguistic diversity using computational methods. Using Bayesian inference, linguistic data were analysed from approximately 180 doculects belonging to the Patkaian (Northern Naga) language group within Sino-Tibetan in order to develop a probabilistic family tree of the largely under-documented language group.
