Nick Sommerhalder, MSc
Assistant
Evolutionary Neuroscience of Language Group
I am a PhD student in the Evolutionary Neuroscience of Language Lab at the University of Zurich. In 2022, I completed my M.Sc. in Psychology at the University of Zurich. Following my master's degree, I gained one year of experience as a clinical neuropsychologist at the University Hospital of Zurich.
My research primarily focuses on tinnitus and its effects on cognitive processes, as well as its influence on speech and auditory perception. While my main research interests are centered around tinnitus and cognition, as well as language-related topics, my experience as a clinical neuropsychologist has sparked a growing fascination with dementia, specifically its impact on language and speech patterns.
