Tai Hong, MA
PhD Student
Distributional Linguistics Lab
I am a PhD student at the Distributional Linguistics Lab. My research interests center around the synchronic distribution and the diachronic evolution of linguistic features within and across different language families. Specifically, my doctoral project focuses on quantitatively reconstructing the diachronic development of morphosyntactic alignment, i.e., case marking, verbal agreement and word order, by use of probabilistic phylogenetic models. I am also involved in small fieldwork on minor Sinitic languages.
