Multiple ISLE members to present at Quantitative Cross-Linguistic Explorations of Space, Time, and Evolution (QC-LESTE) workshop, Paris, 10-11 June

Several members of the Department of Comparative Language Science will present their latest research at the Quantitative Cross-Linguistic Explorations of Space, Time, and Evolution (QC-LESTE) workshop, taking place in Paris on 10–11 June. The workshop brings together researchers working on quantitative approaches to language evolution, linguistic diversity, and historical change.

Chundra Cathcart and Paul Widmer will present their talk, "How selective is selection? Integrating insights from models of micro- and macroevolution". Miri Mertner will present "A German dialect phylogeny based on cultural vocabulary", while John Mansfield will present "Areal colexification patterns in Wallacea".
