Talk at ALT by Borja Herce presenting work on "Quantitative (micro)typology from dialectal atlases"
Borja will present his latest research on Romance dialectology, involving the adaptation of a large dataset of 350 cognacy-coded lexical items across 400 Romance localities on July 3rd, which allows us to test evolutionary predictors of language change like population size and geographic isolation.
